The Echoes: Semnan

Photo collection

Echoes" is a collection of analog photographs born from a desire to capture the reverberations of the human spirit within the austere landscape of Semnan. Departing from my usual digital practice, I embraced the tactile and unpredictable nature of film photography to better convey the subtle echoes of emotion that arise from within. The grain of the negatives, like whispers from the soul, mirrors the intangible nature of these inner voices.

Semnan, with its stark desert environment and pervasive silence, provided a poignant backdrop for this exploration. This silence, a prominent feature of the city, became a powerful metaphor for the internal dialogues that often remain unspoken. The collection delves into themes of solitude, alienation, and the search for identity that resonate deeply within the human experience.

Just as echoes reverberate through the landscape, these images attempt to capture the echoes of the human condition – the fleeting moments of joy, the lingering shadows of sorrow, and the enduring search for meaning amidst the vastness of existence. Through the lens of analog photography, "Echoes" invites viewers to contemplate the inner world and the profound impact of the environment on the human psyche, a core tenet of my artistic practice.
